Wrought iron strap hinges, circa 1800, with ball ends and large butterfly style side members.  These hinges measure 16" overall.  Strap side is 11" and butterfly side member extends 5" and measures 2" high at the tight knuckle.  Hinges are nicely tapered, beveled edges, with balls on the ends.  Very nice pair of early hinges showing apropriate surface age but very sound.

Early lift-off butt hinges in cast iron measuring 2 1/2" x 2" for cupboards or small doors.   These hinges are not reversible and are for a right handed door - hinged on the left.  In good condition, restored, and complete with flat-head slotted screws for mounting.

Cast iron lift-off rising joint butt hinges measuring 3" x 2" across when open.   Rising joint hinges were very early butt hinges allowing the door to rise with the hinge leaf upon opening and the self-closing action dropped the door when closed. These hinges are not reversible and are for a left handed door - hinged on the right.  In good condition, restored, and complete with flat-head slotted screws for mounting.

Cast iron tight pin butt hinges, five knuckle, measuring 3" high x 2 1/8" across the back when open, manufactured circa 1850.  These hinges do not separate and are reversible for either hand door.  Hinges are restored to natural finish and show appropriate age wear but are still in very good condition.  Complete with slotted mount screws.

 Victorian cast iron acorn tip loose pin butt hinges manufactured during the mid 19th century.  The top pin can be removed and the hinge becomes two pieces for mounting purposes. This type of hinge can be used on either side of a door and are not handed.  Hard to find smaller hinges primarily for cupboard, cabinets, or small doors, this pair measures 2 1/2" high x 3" across with iron acorn tip finials- restored and in excellent condition.  Complete with slotted mounting screws.
