Wrought iron "fish-tail" blanket chest hinges, circa 1830.  Hinges measure 13" overall with the strap portion 10 1/4".  The shorter terminal is 2 1/2" with a 1 1/4" offset.  This type of hinge was very popular for use on blanket chests, flour chests, etc. - almost anything with a lid.

Pennsylvania side mount wrought iron hinges, sometimes called mustache hinges - early 1800's.  Hinges measure 10 3/4"and 10" high and extend 4 1/2".  These hinges do not have mounting pintles included.  Early well wrought hinges often seen in the Pennsylvania German and Moravian communities.  Close-ups below  - hinges are in good condition but show appropriate age and wear and are not recently restored.
