Rim style surface mount dead bolt, circa 1880, imprinted with the J & N logo (Jacobus & Nimick) from Pittsburgh, PA. Dead bolt is operated by a folding key (2 included) and is reversible with matching decorative features on each side. Bolt body measures 5" high x 3 1/8" wide without the keeper and with a 2 1/8" back set. The keeper is an additional 1 1/8" wide. The bolt itself is 2" high and throws 9/16". Included is decorative swinging cover key escutcheon for the exterior side. Restored, original and complete.

Victorian full mortise privacy bolt, circa 1885, with a plain cast iron thumb turn operator as pictured below in mounted position. The round mortise bolt measures approximately 2 1/2" deep x 3/4" diameter with a 2" backset. The cast iron thumb turn extends 7/8" from the door and is 1" high. The plate behind is 1 3/4" high x 13/16". All restored and complete with jamb keeper (1 3/4" x 7/8") pictured to the left of the bolt. Comes with mounting screws.

Original antique cast iron rim dead bolt manufactured and signed by Mallory Wheeler & Co., circa 1880, often used on closets. Bolt is a surface mount rim style keyed bolt that mounts on the outside of a closet door and the key was used as the pull to open the door. Bolt is reversible. Accompanied with original cast iron key escutcheon for the off-side. Rim bolt measures 2 1/2" high x 3 3/4" without the keeper which is 7/8" additional on jamb. Bolt throw 1/2". Complete - ready for installation. Comes with slotted screws.

Antique ornate surface mount cast iron slide privacy bolt, circa 1880. Bolt itself measures 3 7/8" x 1 5/8" without the keeper which is 15/16" additional. Bolt slides by using bronze operating knob extending 3/4". The bolt throws 9/16". Restored and complete with slotted wood screws.

Wrought iron 45 degree box hasp - mounted on the lid and dropping over the front with opening over the staple catch. Measuring 3 1/4" at the front drop and 2 7/8" extension on the lid portion. The wrought staples are 1 1/8" and 3/4" high respectively. Restored and complete.

grasping as shown in close-up below. Accompanied by two wrought iron
staples about 2 1/4" wide. The hasp was
attached with one staple. This type of latch
was used for many applications during the 18th and 19th century wherever a door
needed a one sided catch with a spike/stick or to be secured with a padlock.
For the most part they were used in exterior applications and show surface
pitting from weather and age as this one does.
