Antique Victorian chain bolt, surface mount, in decorative cast iron, manufactured circa 1890.  Bolt measures 5 3/8" high x 1 7/8" across widest point at mount holes x 5/8" thick.  This type of bolt was used on the top of the door and has the chain that was used to allow access to the bolt on tall doors without excessive reaching.  The keeper measures 1 1/8" additional x 2 3/8" across.  Bolt extends 1/2".  Chain is about 20".  Restored and complete with slotted mounting screws.

A pair of early wrought iron semi-mortise flush mount vertical dead bolts, circa 1840.  Bolt is cut into the surface of the door so that it is flush with the door when mounted.  Bolts measure 10" x 1 1/4" wide.  The 1 1/4" diameter brass operating knobs to throw and retract the bolts are mounted on oval plates 2 5/8" x 1".  Bolts throw  1".  Restored to black finish and complete with a replacement hand made flush style keepers.   Mechanisms need a 1" door minimum to mount..

Wrought iron surface mount keyed dead bolt, cirac 1830  - the security bolt of the time.  Lock body measures 5 1/2" high x 5 7/8" deep and is left hand bolt only - non-reversible.  Theis keyed dead bolt is operational by key from either side.  Photo below is the lock from the back showing the keyhole and working mechanism.  The surface mount keeper measures 5 1/2" x 1".  The backset to keyway center is 2 3/4".    Original key is over 5" long.  Restored to black finish and complete with mounting screws.

Small Colonial Revival bolt, circa 1920, in wrought iron for cabinets or small doors.  This bolt throws either direction by turning the brass "T" operator (3/4" across).  Measuring 3" high overall x 1 3/16" wide.  The bolt throws 5/8".  The replacement keeper, hand wrought in our own shop, measures 2" high x 1/2" wide.  Comes complete with mounting screws.
