Early American made cast iron vertical rim lock with beveled or molded edges, manufactured circa 1850-60.  These molded edge (shown in angled photo below right) cast iron locks were not reversible and this is a right hand only.  Lock measures 5" high x 3 5/8" deep without the keeper which is 1" additional and mounts on the jamb.  Original mineral swirl door knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter, with cast iron rosette and key escutcheon.  Backset is 2 5/8" to knob center.  Restored to a black finish, complete, and ready to install.  Comes with slotted mounting screws.  Excellent quality American lock from the mid 19th Century.
