Cast iron horizontal rim lock which mounts on the surface of the door, manufactured and signed by the Corbin Mfg. Company. Patent dated in raised letters reads March 1, 1870. Both sides of the lock are identical for reversible handing. Measuring 3 1/2" high x 5 1/4" deep with keeper 1" additional, this lock has early configuration of the latch on the bottom with bolt above it. Toggle on the back edge is to allow the lock to be reversed without opening. Restored to black finish complete with original white porcelain door knobs with age crazing. Knobs may be switched to brown mineral upon request in comments section of order. Accompanied by cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and one key. Complete with slotted screws.
