   Decorative Victorian horizontal rim lock, manufactured and signed by Norwalk L Co. by the Norwalk Lock Co. on the left hand side and with a patent date on the other of  July 21, 1863 showing on the right hand side.  This antique rim lock in cast iron measures 3 1/2" high x 5" deep without the keeper which is additional 7/8".   Lock is reversible and all original.   Restored to a black finish, complete with an original white porcelain door knobs, cast iron rosette and decorative cast iron key escutcheon (2 1/2" x 3/4"). This lock has an early configuration with the latch on the bottom of the lock and the keyed bolt on top which places the keyhole directly across from the door knobs in the center of the lock.  Complete with slotted mounting screws.
